Sweet Jane Studios was located at the end of Snake Trail, a gravel road outside of Cushing, MN. It was way north of the famous Paul Bunyan statue in Alexandria. Dave "Snaker" Ray, Proprietor. It was intimidating to perform in front of one of my idols. I was in high school the first time I saw Dave play at the Avant Garde Coffeehouse in Milwaukee. Now his "Blues, Rags and Hollers" is influencing a new generation of players like Beck.  He passed away in 2002. He was one of the funniest people I have ever met.
